Location: Blackbird Comics and Coffee - 500 E Horatio Ave Ste 3, Maitland, FL 32751

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Learn techniques in doll painting and using a micro brush in this guided class. Paint a new face for your haunted friend and add accessories to make them your own!
All participants will receive one porcelain doll and a custom color palette when they arrive. You may switch out with other people in the class and there may be a swap pile if we have extra clowns available.
Admissions includes one free drink of your choice!
The event will take place on 10/09/26 at Blackbird Comics and Coffeehouse. Class begins at 6 pm. We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and socialize with each other. Class time will run for 2 hours. If your piece is not finished in this time, we will provide some extra supplies to take home with you.
Classes are led by lifelong Florida local Madelyn Stark, an illustration graduate from Ringling College of Art and Design.
Scavengers’ mission is to create art that is not only fun to make and nice to look at, but also sustainable. We strive to gather at least 60% of materials from secondhand sources. We will never provide you with faulty or unworkable materials, but, due to the secondhand nature of our materials, each participant in the class may see a difference in their supplies. Distribution of materials is done at random and is not biased towards any individual.
Scavengers takes a strong stance against generative AI. We guarantee that all of our projects are designed by humans and that gen AI has not been involved in any stage of our process.
Our classes are for ages 16 and up. We strive to bring together a welcoming space for everyone. Participants may be asked to leave the class if they are witnessed participating in discriminatory or hateful behavior, even if it is not directed at an individual within the class.
